Who Won The 2022 ISSF World Shooting Championships - Rifle/Pistol?

The 2022 ISSF World Championship Rifle / Pistol may still be on officially until the 25th in Cairo, but competition in the specific Olympic classes concluded today. In addition to world championship titles, Paris 2024 qualification quotas in these events were offered as well - 32 in total(!).

​(Interestingly, the 2022 World Fencing Championships and the 2022 Modern Pentathlon Worlds were also held recently in Egypt, in July, in Cairo and nearby Alexandria, respectively.)

In the end, the championships feature senior level events across men's, women's, and mixed events, with corresponding junior-level events also held. In the senior ranks, the 10 Paris 2024 Olympic-class events were:
  • 10m Air Rifle (men's / women's / mixed team)
  • 50m Rifle 3 Positions (men's / women's)
  • 10m Air Pistol (men's / women's / mixed team)
  • 25m Rapid Fire Pistol (men's)
  • 25m Pistol (women's)

Who Won The Sailing's 2022 iQFOiL World Championships?

Sailing's 2022 iQFOiL World Championships ended today in Brest, France with winners crowned in both men's and women's events. This is just the second edition of a dedicated iQFOiL world championships; thefirst was held in Silvaplana, Switzerland in 2021.

Particular attention on the event is due as the iQFOiL will be the new Olympic windsurfing equipment for Paris 2024, replacing the RS:X for both men and women. The RS:X had been the equipment choice for Olympic windsurfing from Beijing 2008 through Tokyo 2020.

Congratulations to the 2022 iQFOiL world champions, Sebastian Koerdel and Marta Maggetti! Complete results can be found online at iqfoilclass.org or at iqworlds2022brest.
