More: Biennial races in men's 20km & 50km, and women's 20km, and team events across all - and juniors.

Fun Fact: The competition used to be called the Lugano Cup, after the original location, and is sometimes referred to as the Race Walking World Cup.

More: The Championships are held annually, even in Olympic years, except...as this is an Olympic year, only non-Olympic events will be held, namely men's team sabre and women's team foil.

Fun Fact: This also serves as fencing's test event for the Games at Carioca Arena 3.
