Who Won 2024's ISU World Speed Skating Single Distances Championships?
The 2024 ISU World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships concluded today in Calgary after four days of competition. This is the second edition to be held in Calgary after 1998, and the third overall to be held in Canada (2009 Richmond).
Competition was held across eight men's and eight women's events. Team Netherlands dominated the 2023 championships in Heerenveen, with 17 overall medals. In 2024, the Dutch led the way again, but with (only) 13 overall - six gold - and followed closely by the hometown Team Canada's 10 overall. Congratulations to all the medalists!
