Palembang, Indonesia

November 04 - 07, 2015

12 events in Olympic class canoe and kayak sprints, plus 15 events in non-Olympic and junior competition. The Championships also serve as an Olympic qualifier for Rio.

The event also features dragon boat racing for men and women.

What: The ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships

Where: London, Great Britain

When: September 16 - 20, 2015

More: The annual event will take place at the site of the 2012 Olympic competition, and will be the 37th edition. After the Pan Am Games, these will be the second Olympic qualification event for canoeists.

Fun Fact: The United Kingdom last hosted the worlds in 1995.

August 19:  Canoe Sprint World Championships

What: The 2015 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships

Where: Milan, Italy

When: August 19 - 23, 2015

More: The Championships are held every non-Olympic year, and feature flatwater competition in canoe and kayaking. With 471, Hungary has been the dominant medal-winner since 1938.

Fun Fact: Milan also hosted the Championships in 1999.
