Where: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada

When: March 28 - April 4, 2016

Competing: Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Japan, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, United States

More: Canada has won ten titles, and finished second six; all times alternating with the United States.

Fun Fact: The Czech Republic replaces Germany in the elite division for this year's tournament.

Where: Prague and Ostrava, Czech Republic (semifinals and final in Prague)

When: May 01 - 17, 2015

Competing: Austria, Belarus, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, United States

More: In the first stage, the teams compete in groups balanced according to the 2014 official IIHF World Rankings, which places Sweden as the #1 seed, with their silver in the 2014 Olympics and their bronze in the 32014 Worlds.

Fun Fact: Austria and Slovenia won placements by finishing 1-2 in the 2014 World Division 1-A tournament besting Japan, Ukraine, Hungary and South Korea

Competing: Canada, Finland, Germany, Japan, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, United States

More: This is the 16th Championship, with Canada and the United States splitting the previous 15 titles (Canada 10, U.S. 5)

Fun Fact: Perhaps the most recognized player, Canada's Hayley Wickenheiser is out of the tournament with a foot injury.
