What: The FINA World Cup Final

Where: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

When: November 06 - 07, 2015

More: The eight-stop World Cup ends in Doha for the final point accumulation of the season in swimming's 32 events for men and women.

Fun Fact: This is the first Cup to feature a long-course pool. The overall winners and defending champions from 2014 are South Africa's Cameron van der Burgh and Hungary's Katinka Hosszu.

What: The 16th FINA World Championships

Where: Kazan, Russia

When: July 24 - August 09, 2015

More: The Championships are held every two years, and feature competition in indoor and open water swimming, indoor and high diving, water polo, and synchronized swimming.

Fun Fact: This is the 1st time that Russia will host the event, although Kazan hosted the Universiade in 2013 and the World Fencing Championships earlier in July.

What: The 12th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m)

Where: Doha, Qatar

When: December 03 - 07, 2014

More: The Short Course Worlds were inaugurated in 1993, as a recognition of the strong standards short course swimming had made in competitive attention, and has grown to attract over 150 participating countries and more than 800 swimmers (2012 edition numbers). Short Course (25 meter-length pools) is traditionally the winter training ground for long course (50 meters, Olympic-standard), and thus provides competitive opportunities for swimmers throughout the year.

Fun Fact: The mascot for D2014 is a seahorse, symbolizing 'strength, power, and luck'.

August 21:  Pan Pacific Swimming Championships

What: The Hancock Prospecting Pan Pacific Swimming Championships

Where: Gold Coast, AUS

When: August 21 - 25, 2014

More: Open to athletes from Pacific-border nations, and select additional non-European invitees (like BRA and RSA).

Fun Fact: This is the 12th edition of the quadrennial event; it rotates amongst USA, JPN, CAN, and AUS - the four Pan Pac founding federations.
