The men's trophy is called the Swaythling Cup, and teh women's is the Corbillon Cup; the Championships are now held in even-numbered years.

Fun Fact:
China has won nine of the last ten men's titles (Sweden won in 2000) and 18 of the last 20 women's (Singapore won 2010's and Korea in 1991).

Where:
San Juan, Puerto Rico

When:
February 01 - 07, 2016

More:
Competition will be held in men's and women's singles, doubles, and team events, with mixed doubles and u-21 singles events for both men and women.

Fun Fact:
This is the 26th edition of the championships, first held in 1978, and the first time in San Juan.

October 30:  Women's Table Tennis World Cup

What: The 2015 ITTF Women's World Cup

Where: Sendai, Japan

When: October 30 - November 01, 2015

More: The Women's World Cup has been held annually since 1996; the top-ranked twenty players compete in combination of round robin and single elimination to crown the champion.

Fun Fact: Chinese athletes have won every title, led by Zhang Yining's four total (last in 2005).

October 16:  Men's Table Tennis World Cup

What: The 2015 ITTF Men's World Cup

Where: Halmstad, Sweden

When: October 16 - 18, 2015

More: Held annually since 1980, the World Cup features the top ranked twenty players competing in combination of round robin and single elimination play to determine the champion.

Fun Fact: Zhang Jike of China is the defending champion from 2014. Chinese men have won 21 of 36 titles, including the last five.

September 26:  Asian Table Tennis Championships

Where: Pattaya, Thailand


When: September 26 - October 03, 2015


More: Biennial competition across seven events: men's team, women's team, men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.


Fun Fact: China is bay far the dominant nation in the event's history, with winning six of seven golds in 2013 and 2011, and sweeping in 2009. Ma Long is the three-time men's singles champion.
