These Championships are separate from the All-Around and Sprint Championships, due to the popularity of specialization across distances.
Fun Fact: The Netherlands is by far the most successful nation in the history of the Championships, with 159 total medals to-date (Germany is in second with 90). German legend Claudia Pechstein is the individual all-time leader with 28 medals; Dutchman Bob de Jong (20) is the men's leader.
