USA Dominates Pan-Am Fencing
The Pan-American Fencing Championships ended this weekend, with a blowout performance by the United States. Winning 15 medals total, Team USA won all four team discipline titles available, and medaled at least once in each event...except..for a shutout in men's individual epee, won by Venezuela's Ruben Limardo Gascon. USA's Jason Pryor finished fifth.
USA Dominates Pan-Am Wrestling
The U.S. wasn't done with Pan-American dominance over the weekend, with a striking performance at the Pan-American Wrestling Championships which also concluded in Santiago. The U.S. won the final day's men's freestyle team competition with an impressive six individual titles. That is in addition to the team title from Friday in greco-roman. Canada won a tight team battle over Venezuela for the women's freestyle title.

At the Drake Relays, Jasmine Stowers stunned a field of notable competitors to win the 100m Hurdles, in a time good enough for 12th fastest all-time. Let's see if she's around - and that fast - at the Olympic Trials next summer.
