They Are The Champions: 2023 ATP Tennis Finals

11/26/2023

Who Won The 2023 ATP FInals?

Picture
The 2023 ATP Finals in Torino, Italy ended on November 19th after eight days of competition in men's singles and doubles tennis competition. Outside of the four tennis majors (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, U.S. Open), the Association of Tennis Professional's ATP FInals has been the most prestigious tournament since its original iteration in 1970, and is considered to crown the season's overall champion.

Six-time winner and Beijing 2008 bronze medalist Novak Djokovic was the 2022 champion, and led qualifiers for the 2023 edition, which also included Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner, Andrey Rublev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev (the Tokyo 2020 champion), and Holger Rune.

The eight doubles team qualified were Ivan Dodig (the Tokyo 2020 champion with Marin Cilic) & Austin Krajicek, Wesley Koolhof & Neal Skupski, Rohan Bopanna & Matthew Ebden, Marcel Granollers & Horacio Zeballos, Santiago Gonzalez & Edouard Roger-Vasselin, Rajeev Ram & Joe Salisbury (defending champions and Rio 2016 mixed doubles silver medalists), Maximo Gonzalez & Andres Molteni, and Rinky Hijikata & Jason Kubler.

Perhaps predictably, Djokovic won his seventh singles title, in a two-set win over surprise finalist Sinner. And, Ram & Salibsury successfully defended the doubles title, also in a two-set win )over Granollers & Zeballos).

Congrats to the champions! Complete results can be found online at atptour.com.
