Who Won The World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2023?
In addition to the host Team South Korea, the tournament featured 19 other national teams, from Australia, Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Scotland (defending champion from 2022), Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and United States. Team Switzerland entered this tournament as the most-titled champion, with seven of the previous 14 titles.
Teams played a round-robin format phase in two groups, before the elimination rounds began. In the end (pun intended!), Team USA's Korey Dropkin and Corey Thiesse won the gold medal with a 8-2 victory over Team Japan in the title match; this is the first title for Team USA in the event. The Norwegians defeated the Canadians 6-2 for third place.
