Who Won The 2022 UCI Road World Championships?

The 2022 UCI Road World Championships (or, Championnats Du Monde Route UCI) have ended after a week's worth of competition in the southeastern Australian coastal city of Wollongong.

Overall, 11 races were contested, including the highlight elite men's and women's road races and time trials, and equivalent junior and U23 events, and a mixed time trial relay. Team Great Britain topped the medal table in the end with three titles, while Team Belgium led the overall count with six total medals. Team Germany tied Team GB with five overall, while host Team Australis finished next with four.

July 23 marks one year to go for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Tokyo 2020 celebrated with a private ceremony featuring Olympic hopeful Rikako Ikee, who proposed "Imagine the world in a year: a world where the curtain is set to rise on the Olympic and Paralympic Games".

Will it be the "great comeback festival of sport"?
