More Ireland: The Irish Times checks in with boxer Kellie Harrington as she waits out the Olympic delay.

Ted Ligety targets another Olympic run and a shot at history as the oldest U.S. Olympic alpine skier.

A "simplified" Olympics: What does that mean? Enquiring ticket-holding minds want to know...soon.

Weightlifting: It's worse than you probably thought.

"Be a little more public.”⁣ ⁣ President Barack Obama gave that advice this past February while on a panel at All-Star weekend.⁣ ⁣ “Set an example for the people."⁣ ⁣ A valued member of my team, whom I also consider a friend, said to me recently, "As an African American woman, the information you're putting out there just doesn't resonate with me. Deep breaths don't help with racial trauma."⁣ ⁣ And she was right.⁣ ⁣ I need to do better. Our work and resources need to explicitly address the challenges and trauma caused by inequality and racism.⁣ ⁣ I know I need to make changes to my own organization and will do so immediately. We will start by creating a diverse advisory board to guide our work, we will partner with grassroots organizations that need our help most right now, and we will work alongside BIPOC-licensed therapists, and stand alongside communities of people that have been treated so unjustly for far too long.⁣ ⁣ Today, we are honored to support two leaders who are directly impacting their communities and black youth by donating $100,000 grants to each. Chris Paul (@cp3) and his amazing work through the Chris Paul Family Foundation (@chrispaulfamfdn) to level the playing field in education, sports, and life. And President Barack Obama (@barackobama) and his mission to train the next generation of leaders through the @ObamaFoundation.⁣ ⁣ We hear you. We support you. We will take action. And we will never stop learning.

I’m a black man. I’ve experienced everything this system has created to hold me down. I’ve been mistreated by law enforcement, I’ve been put in jail, I’ve been called a nigger, I’ve been denied opportunities, I’ve been profiled, I’ve been seen as a threat and much more. The system has done everything to me that it could do, and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone nor will I sit back and let it continue to happen to my Black brothers and sisters. It’s time to end this narrative. It’s time for reform. This energy in America right now must continue till we see real irreversible change, and it should continue even after that. one day I will have a Black son or a daughter, and I’d be doing them a disservice if I didn’t put it on the line for them and every other young Black boy and girl in America. My heart aches for every life lost to this system, to every Black man or woman who has gone through any type of mistreatment in this country. To non Blacks, you have to speak up against what’s wrong. You don’t understand our plight, but you know what’s right and what’s wrong. If you don’t speak up I don’t want anything to do with you. My love goes out to everyone right now and I pray God gives us strength to endure this battle and rise!! PROTEST, VOTE, GAIN KNOWLEDGE, ORGANIZE, SIGN PETITIONS, LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD AND FELT! #blacklivesmatter

And, Yulimar Rojas sends her own powerful message of inclusion.

@carlospuche14 ??
