Athlete Protest: In light of the recent - and on-going social and civic global equality awareness movement, the IOC indicates a possible turnabout on the Olympics' notorious political demonstration policy. It'll be interesting to see what happens - I, for one, am certainly skeptical of meaningful patience on the IOC's part to allow athlete messages that run counter to smooth and uneventful medal ceremonies. But, eyes are watching, including from National Olympic Committees to athlete groups.
