Olympic athletes celebrated International Taekwondo Day on September 4th! Back in 1994, the IOC welcomed the sport as an Olympic discipline and the celebratory day was established in 2006. I've always seen the sport as one of the most geographically diverse on the Olympic program, since from 2000 38 nations have won at least one medal - including Vietnam, Gabon, Dominican Republic, Afghanistan, Tunisia, and Niger.
