✨✨10 Years as a Hockeyroo✨✨ After months of deliberation, I have come to the tough decision to retire from international hockey. Although it was with a heavy heart, I’m excited to begin the next phase of my life with my beautiful family. I am so unbelievably proud of what I have achieved in this sport, particularly in the last 3 years as a mum. The journey of elite sport is so challenging but at the same time it is so beautifully rewarding on so many levels. Over the coming weeks, I look forward to reaching out and privately acknowledging everyone that supported me personally and professionally and say a big THANK YOU! But for now... I’m going to sit back and reflect on all of the incredible experiences, friendships and achievements that I have had over the last decade. Thanks for all of the support over the years! ? Happy-post... ? DONT WORRY ABOUT THINGS YOU CAN NOT CHANGE. __________________________ I kept telling everyone over the last 5 months... I learned it listening to a podcast from @matzehielscher and @ferdinand_von_schirach and it struck me... today I am very proud that in 4 of 5 cases I remember, realize and then act in exactly that way. It saves a lot of energy and calms me down. In traffic, waiting at the airport, Corona....... fight for things you can influence - there are plenty of those around you.
