And Milano Cortina 2026 Says Hello
The next Winter Games will take place in February 2026, in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. This will be the first joint-bid host of an Olympics, and the fourth time an Olympics will take place in Italy. Cortina d'Ampezzo previously hosted the 1956 Winter Games, Rome hosted the Summer Games in 1960, and Turin the Winter Games in 2006.

All the sports events at Beijing 2022 are scheduled to be held in 2026. Plus, there is the debut of one new sport, ski mountaineering, with five new events. Will there be additions to existing sports - synchronized skating, more mixed events, for example? The full program is set to be finalized in June 2022.
