24 teams participated, with Team Russia excluded due to the invasion of Ukraine. Team Croatia, subsequently invited as a replacement, finished in 22nd place. The final top eight teams - making it to the single-elimination rounds of play - were Serbia, Brazil, Italy, United States, Japan, China, Poland and Turkey.
