Who are the 2022 FEI World Dressage and Jumping Champions?
Competition in the 2022 FEI World Championships completed today in Herring, Denmark after nine days. This was the ninth edition of the quadrennial championships, and the first to be held in Denmark (but the seventh in Europe).
Events spanned the Olympic classes of individual and team dressage and jumping, plus non-Olympic horse vaulting and para-dressage. Eventing, usually a part of the same program when it was known as the World Equestrian Games, will be held separately in September, in Pratoni del Vivaro, Italy.
The championships also offered Paris 2024 qualification spots: Denmark, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, United States, and Australia earned dressage team and individual spots, while Sweden, Netherlands, Great Britain, Ireland, and Germany earned jumping spots. p.s. Sweden is only the third team to hold both Olympic and World team jumping titles at once.
