Who Won The 2022 ISSF World Championship Shotgun?
The 2022 World Championship Shotgun, or World Shotgun Championships, finished today after competition in Osijek, Croatia that had started on September 19th.
Both junior and senior events were held - 20 total - across men's and women's trap and skeet shooting, and mixed team events. Team Italy topped the medal table across all senior-level events, with four golds and seven overall. (They led the junior table, too.)
Qualification spots for Paris 2024 were also on offer in Osijek. Individual national team quota placements in trap were awarded to United States, Great Britain, Chinese Taipei, and India for the men and France, Spain, Slovakia, and Australia in the women's event. Skeet quotas went to Teams Egypt, United States, Qatar, and Sweden (men) and Italy, United States, Slovakia, and Ukraine (women). Italian Giulia Grassia was a double gold-medalist, sharing titles in both the women's and mixed team trap events.
