Who Won The 2023 Sailing World Championships?
As such, the 2023 edition featured competition in ten classes: iQFOil and Formula Kite for both men and women; Laser/ILCA 7 and Laser/ILCA 6 for men and women, respectively; and 49er and 49erFX for men and women, respectively, as well as the mixed team classes of 470 and Nacra 17.
Team Great Britain entered these championships as the historical leader with 23 overall medals on the all-time table, while Netherlands led the gold medal list with eight.
In the end, Teams Netherlands and France both claimed two golds on The Hague 2023's overall medal table (which includes Paralympic events), while Team Great Britain secured five medals overall. Between eight and 15 boats earned Paris 2024 qualification spots per sailing class as well during the competition.
