Who Won The 2024 2024 iQFOiL Windsurfing World Championships?
Lanzarote was also the site of December's 2023 season-ending iQFOiL Games, in which Sharon Kantor and '23 world champion Luuc Van Opzeeland took the women's and men's titles, respectively.
The results of these 2024 worlds do not count toward Paris 2024 qualification, with the remaining slots to be filled will be assigned at the 'Last Chance Regatta' later in the spring...except for the top European single male and female sailors from national teams not already qualified, who who will qualify directly to Paris from Lanzarote. Those lucky sailors turned out to be Team Denmark's Johan Soe and Team Germany's Theresa Steinlein.
In the meantime, Nicolo Renna and Sharon Kantor took the men's and women's 2024 championships, respectively. Both Team Italy (Renna) and Team Israel (Kantor) had already qualified a boat for Paris 2024 through the 2023 worlds.
Congratulations to the medalists! Complete results can be found online at 2024iqworldslanzarote.
