Who are the 2022 World Champions in Women's Ice Hockey?
Team Canada's win was its third-straight global title (2021 Worlds, 2022 Winter Olympics) and its 12th overall women's World title since 1990. (Team USA is the only other world champion, with nine titles.)
Competition over the last week and a half was also played in Frederikshavn, which hosted Group B's preliminary matches. In all, 31 games were played across the complete field of nationals teams of Canada, Czech Republic, host Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, and United States.
Other IIHF divisions women's world champions from earlier 2022 tournaments include teams from France, China, Great Britain, Iceland, Belgium, and Estonia. Congratulations to all!
